Pomembno je, da tudi po prvem zagonu in kriptonavdušenju ne pozabimo podpreti blockchain podjetij, ki so tako pogumna, da orjejo ledino na tehnološkem področju in kreirajo inovativne produkte, ki so zagotovo znanilci nove dobe.
Rast vrednosti kriptovalut, ki smo ji priča v tem obdobju, med bolj in manj poučeno javnostjo povečuje tudi zanimanje za kriptoimetja. A vendar opažamo, da splošna osveščenost o tehnologiji veriženja blokov v Sloveniji še vedno temelji na enačajih med pojmi bitcoin, kriptoimetja in blockchain, kar seveda ni res. Tako kot bitcoin ni edino kriptoimetje, tudi kriptoimetja niso edini primer uporabe tehnologije blockchain.
Zato je v času, ko cene kriptoimetij letijo v nebo, fokus smiselno obrniti tudi na tehnologijo, ki kriptoimetja omogoča — to je na blockchain, ki ga (precej neposrečeno) prevajamo kot tehnologijo veriženja blokov.

The same as bitcoin is not a single cryptocurrency; cryptocurrency is not a single example of using blockchain technology. For that, after the first hype and overly exaggerated crypto-enthusiasm are over, now is the best time to support those successful and trustworthy blockchain companies that are still on the market, creating innovative products that are harbingers of a new era as we speak.
The increase in cryptocurrencies’ value during this period encourages interest between the more and less informed public. However, the majority still forms their opinion on blockchain technology based on the most popular and widely accepted terms, such as bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and blockchain, which should not be the case. As bitcoin is not a single cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency is not a single example of using blockchain technology.
On the other hand, when the prices of crypto assets are skyrocketing, we should focus more on the technology, enabling all this fast development, that is, on the blockchain.

The end of the year traditionally brings a time for revision, and the opportunity to look to the future. Due to many restrictions caused by corona-virus, the Blockchain Alliance Europe members have gathered on a meeting online to review operations in 2020 and set common goals and ambitions for 2021. The members have unanimously concluded that the organization will continue to focus on raising public awareness of blockchain and connecting with key stakeholders in the blockchain and business spheres to speed up technology adoption.
President of the Blockchain Alliance Tanja Bivic briefly summarized the key events and activities of this year, followed by a joint debate on the review of the work, the members’ expectations, and the way forward.
Decisions on plans are similar to those taken at the June Assembly when the members unanimously agreed to continue:
- to grow our presence in such a way that we communicate the benefits to target groups, meaning we will address both the lay and professional public,
- build our reputation by connecting with key stakeholders in the blockchain and business space,

The discussion on digital euro place on Thursday, 26 November at the 3rd Open Forum of the Slovenian Digital Coalition 2020 entitled DIGITALIZATION OF SLOVENIA TODAY FOR TOMORROW.
The discussion on the digital euro was organized by an informal working group for blockchain technology, which operates within the Slovenian Digital Coalition. Razprava o digitalnem evru je potekala v četrtek, 26. novembra na 3. Odprtem forumu Slovenske digitalne koalicije 2020 z naslovom DIGITALIZACIJA SLOVENIJE DANES ZA JUTRI.
Razpravo o digitalnem evru je organizirala neformalna delovna skupina za tehnologijo veriženja blokov, ki deluje znotraj Slovenske digitalne koalicije. Sestavljajo jo štiri organizacije, in sicer Blockchain Alliance Europe, Blockchain Think Tank Slovenija, Bitcoin društvo Slovenije in Slovensko blockchain združenje.
Delovna skupina za tehnologijo veriženja blokov (blockchain) Slovenske digitalne koalicije, ki jo sestavljajo organizacije Blockchain Alliance Europe, Blockchain Think Tank Slovenije, Bitcoin društvo Slovenije in Blockchain združenje Slovenije, vabi na RAZPRAVO O DIGITALNEM EVRU, ki bo potekala v sklopu 3. The virtual event Evolution of blockchain technology, organized by Blockchain Alliance Europe in cooperation with the Business Intelligence Center and partners, took place on Thursday, October 22. Slovenian companies dealing with the development of blockchain or cryptocurrencies presented themselves at the meeting that focused on examples of technology application for business purposes. Blockchain Alliance Europe has announced a new project, the Blockchain Business Network, which will be launched to bring the benefits of blockchain technology closer to companies and organizations.
The event Evolution of blockchain technology was organized with the aim of presenting the operation and progress of Slovenian companies dealing with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, even at a time when the economy is harmed by the impact of the COVID-19 virus. The advantages of the technology, which is present in practically all branches of the industry today, were introduced to the audience through the application examples of its use in business.

V četrtek, 22. oktobra 2020, se je odvijal virtualni dogodek Evolucija tehnologije blockchain pod krovno taktirko organizacije Blockchain Alliance Europe v sodelovanju z Business Intelligence Center in partnerji. Na njem so se predstavila slovenska podjetja, ki se ukvarjajo s s področjem razvoja tehnologije ali kriptovalut, osrednja nit srečanja pa so bili primeri prikaza praktične rabe tehnologije za poslovne namene. Organizacija Blockchain Alliance Europe je napovedala nov projekt, in sicer poslovno blockchain omrežje (Blockchain Business Network), ki ga bodo lansirali z namenom, da čim več organizacij in podjetji prepozna in preizkusi prednosti tehnologije blockchain v poslovne namene.
